Before You Visit

PRE-DINING DRINKS

We recommend that your Gimlet dining experience begins and ends in the bar. However, as capacity is limited we request that you arrive promptly at your reservation time.

Consider joining us at Apollo Inn, our sister cocktail bar at 165 Flinders Lane, Melbourne for a drink prior to, or after your Gimlet at Cavendish House reservation. Apollo Inn is our ode to the ageless art of the cocktail, the bar, the bartender and the drinker.
Open 7 days a week from 5pm, and on Fridays from 3pm, walk in guests are always welcomed. Alternatively, head to the Apollo Inn website apolloinn.bar to make a reservation.

PARKING

We recommend Wilsons Parking located at 172 - 192 Flinders Street, enter via Flinders Lane.

TRAVELLING via PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Gimlet is located on the ground floor of Cavendish House - 33 Russell Street.
Nearby tram stops are located on both Flinders Street and Swanston Street.
For Flinders Street routes, alight at stop 6 on the corner of Flinders and Russell Streets.
For Swanston Street tram routes, disembark at stop 11 followed by a quick stroll to Cavendish House.
For those travelling by train, we are a convenient 10 minute walk from Flinders Street Station.

DRESS CODE

There is no formal dress code so please feel free to dress in whatever you are most comfortable in.

Accessibility

Due to the heritage architecture of Cavendish House, there are two sets of wide marble steps into the building. A tracked stairclimber is available for wheelchair users.
